Following completion of Video 5 and Chapter 5, you should be able to:

1. Describe the purpose of distribution system pumps
2. Describe the purpose of well pumps
3. Describe the importance of maintaining pressure in the distribution system
4. Describe the importance of cross-connection control
5. Safely inspect and troubleshoot pump control panels
6. Safely inspect and troubleshoot pump systems
7. Safely measure amperage and voltage (using a volt-ohm meter)
8. Properly lock out and tag out a system before maintenance
