The Office of Water Programs (OWP) is a nonprofit,
self-supporting unit of University Enterprises, Inc., an
auxiliary of California State University, Sacramento. We provide
cost-effective distance learning training programs for
individuals interested in the operation and maintenance of
drinking water and wastewater facilities in the US, Canada, and
other countries. Our training programs are developed and updated
in collaboration with industry professionals with extensive
knowledge of how to successfully operate and maintain all types
of facilities. The university, fully accredited by the Western
Association of Schools and Colleges, administers and monitors
these training programs under the direction of Dr. Akram
Botrous.
Correspondence Courses and Manuals
When purchasing an enrollment, you must use the current edition
of the manual, video, or other required course materials.
Courses that have been successfully completed may only be
repeated when a new edition becomes available. All courses
have expirations
based on the number of continuing education units
(CEUs) offered. Manuals, videos, and other training materials
may be purchased without enrolling in a course.
Online Courses
Our online
courses offer flexible, easy access to modular water
and wastewater training materials that enable operators to
satisfy continuing education requirements. All courses have
expirations
based on the number of continuing education units
(CEUs)
offered.
Specialist Certificate Programs
Two specialist certificate programs offer operators an
opportunity to earn transferrable academic credit and a
certificate from Sac State's College of Continuing Education
after completing a series of three courses.
