pan test

The pan test measures how uniformly wastewater is being distributed over the media of a trickling filter. Place pans at different locations on the filter surface. After a period of time, measure the water in each pan using a graduated cylinder or similar device. Each pan will have a similar amount of water if the wastewater is evenly distributed over the trickling filter.
