SSES (sewer system evaluation survey)

A key step in identifying specific sources of infiltration/inflow (I/I). The survey includes an inventory of collection system components; complete, up-to-date maps of system layout; information about the condition of the system; comparisons of design flow capacities with current flows; historical data concerning problem areas; and data documenting frequency and severity of hydraulic overloads, discharge permit violations, and plant bypasses.
